Bibliografía sobre el Período de Amarna

Faraones y reinas Hits: 554

El período amarniense fue una etapa convulsa para el imperio egipcio, no sólo por la nueva religión monoteísta introducida por Akhenaton; el arte, la sociedad y la política sufrieron notables cambios, para bien o para mal.

Para entender mejor este momento histórico son muchos los autores que durante años han estudiado al enigmático faraón que originó esta interesante época, muchos los que han pretendido ver mensajes ocultos en su arte, o simplemente han estudiado los cambios originados viendo el arte, política y sociedad en su conjunto al abrigo de una nueva teología monoteísta, donde el dios Atón hacía las veces de todo ese abanico de divinidades que habían dado forma al antiguo panteón egipcio.

Muchos pensarán que abarcar tantos libros dedicados a este momento histórico es una locura y que recoger toda la bibliografía es difícil, arduo y laborioso. La verdad es que sí, pero durante varios años he podido ir recopilando información de autores y libros; por suerte –o por desgracia para poder elegir-, son muchos los libros.

 

En esta lista, mayoritariamente son libros escritos en inglés, francés y alemán; eso no quiere decir que no haya nada escrito en castellano, simplemente que estoy haciendo una recopilación de la misma para ponerla a disposición de quien esté pensando en leer algo sobre el tema. Soy consciente de la gran cantidad de libros que estoy poniendo, pero que nadie se preocupe, creo que aún me he dejado muchos en el tintero y aún me estoy planteando el ponerlos o no.
